An astonishing Mid Century Modern statement ring with a fascinating design and a show stopping profile. A cylinder of hypnotic tigers eye pierces a three-dimensional "X" of 14k yellow gold. This small sculpture sits atop a flat band that graduates in width from slim shoulders to a wide band. Tigers eye has an optical property known as chatoyancy, intergrown fibers that reflect a silky shimmer that almost seems to flow across the gem. This effect brings a depth and texture to the ring, and it contrast with the architectural simplicity of the gold. Words fail some of the coolest Modernist designs, this one will not disappoint. Circa 1950.

Details.....Currently an approximate size 4.5, with sizing balls. The top of the ring measures 18.2mm by 17.6mm with a 14.6mm profile. The band is 4.2mm wide. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should expect some wear on all vintage and antique pieces; we consider it part of the charm.
